What follows is a series of overviews on a select group of Judith Robinson's research projects.
Restaurant Packaging Exploration and Concept Development
- Objectives: to define the essential characteristics of packages used in Quick Service Restaurants across meal occasions and food items, and to apply these characteristics to the evaluation of package prototypes.
- This 2-phase project began with the examination of value enhancement through packaging for various occasions and menu items, defining the "must have" and the "nice to have" attributes.
- These attributes were then used in the second phase to evaluate packaging prototypes that were designed to improve the value perception.
- Outcome: development of underlying structure for overall direction of concept development and specific new package designs for quantitative evaluation.
